Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Central North District in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:

  • Community and Personal Service Workers (4,022 females or 24.3%)
  • Clerical and Administrative Workers (3,435 females or 20.8%)
  • Professionals (2,881 females or 17.4%)

In combination these three occupations accounted for 10,338 females in total or 62.5% of the employed female resident population.

In comparison, the City of Onkaparinga employed 21.9% in Community and Personal Service Workers; 21.1% in Clerical and Administrative Workers; and 21.7% in Professionals.

The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of the Central North District and the City of Onkaparinga were:

  • A larger percentage of females employed as Community and Personal Service Workers (24.3% compared to 21.9%)
  • A larger percentage of females employed as Sales Workers (13.6% compared to 12.0%)
