Dominant groups

In 2011, there were 4,265 people who caught public transport to work (train, bus, tram or ferry) in City of Onkaparinga, compared with 55,856 who drove in private vehicles (car – as driver, car – as passenger, motorbike, or truck).

Analysis of the method of travel to work of the residents in the City of Onkaparinga in 2011, compared to Greater Adelaide, shows that 5.7% used public transport, while 75.0% used a private vehicle, compared with 8.3% and 70.9% respectively in Greater Adelaide.
