Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in City of Onkaparinga in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:

  • Technicians and Trades Workers (11,278 males or 27.1%)
  • Labourers (5,625 males or 13.5%)
  • Professionals (5,583 males or 13.4%)

In combination these three occupations accounted for 22,486 males in total or 54.1% of the employed male resident population.

In comparison, the Northern District employed 24.6% in Technicians and Trades Workers; 10.2% in Labourers; and 18.6% in Professionals.

The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of the City of Onkaparinga and the Northern District were:
