An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Central South District in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:
- Technicians and Trades Workers (2,188 people or 17.5%)
- Professionals (2,110 people or 16.8%)
- Community and Personal Service Workers (1,936 people or 15.4%)
In combination these three occupations accounted for 6,234 people in total or 49.7% of the employed resident population.
In comparison, Port Noarlunga South employed 18.5% in Technicians and Trades Workers; 17.4% in Professionals; and 16.4% in Community and Personal Service Workers.
