Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in McLaren Vale in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:
- Professionals (194 females or 23.2%)
- Clerical and Administrative Workers (176 females or 21.1%)
- Community and Personal Service Workers (149 females or 17.8%)
In combination these three occupations accounted for 519 females in total or 62.1% of the employed female resident population.
In comparison, Onkaparinga Hills employed 19.8% in Professionals; 24.8% in Clerical and Administrative Workers; and 20.8% in Community and Personal Service Workers.
The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of McLaren Vale and Onkaparinga Hills were:
- A larger percentage of females employed as Managers (13.9% compared to 9.5%)
- A larger percentage of females employed as Professionals (23.2% compared to 19.8%)
- A smaller percentage of females employed as Clerical and Administrative Workers (21.1% compared to 24.8%)
- A smaller percentage of females employed as Community and Personal Service Workers (17.8% compared to 20.8%)
