Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in City of Onkaparinga in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:

  • Community and Personal Service Workers (8,899 females or 21.9%)
  • Professionals (8,804 females or 21.7%)
  • Clerical and Administrative Workers (8,560 females or 21.1%)

In combination these three occupations accounted for 26,263 females in total or 64.6% of the employed female resident population.

In comparison, Hackham West employed 28.9% in Community and Personal Service Workers; 12.8% in Professionals; and 16.3% in Clerical and Administrative Workers.

The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of the City of Onkaparinga and Hackham West were:

  • A larger percentage of females employed as Professionals (21.7% compared to 12.8%)
