Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Christies Beach in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (399 females or 29.5%)
  • Retail Trade (154 females or 11.4%)
  • Education and Training (150 females or 11.1%)

In combination, these three industries employed 703 females in total or 52.0% of the total employed female resident population.

In comparison, Maslin Beach employed 27.9% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 7.7% in Retail Trade; and 14.1% in Education and Training.

The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of Christies Beach and Maslin Beach were:

  • A larger percentage of females employed in retail trade (11.4% compared to 7.7%)
  • A smaller percentage of females employed in professional, scientific and technical services (4.4% compared to 7.7%)
  • A smaller percentage of females employed in education and training (11.1% compared to 14.1%)
