Analysis of the household/family types in Happy Valley in 2021 compared to Willunga and Surrounds shows that there was a lower proportion of couple families with child(ren) as well as a higher proportion of one-parent families. Overall, 31.2% of total families were couple families with child(ren), and 11.0% were one-parent families, compared with 32.1% and 9.1% respectively for Willunga and Surrounds.
There were a higher proportion of lone person households and a lower proportion of couples without children. Overall, the proportion of lone person households was 23.3% compared to 17.6% in Willunga and Surrounds while the proportion of couples without children was 30.9% compared to 36.4% in Willunga and Surrounds.
