Dominant groups

Analysis of the male five year age groups of the Central South District in 2021 compared to Coromandel Valley shows that there was a lower proportion of males in the younger age groups (under 15) and a similar proportion of males in the older age groups (65+).

Overall, 21.5% of the male population was aged between 0 and 15, and 15.7% were aged 65 years and over, compared with 22.8% and 15.7% respectively for Coromandel Valley.
