Dominant groups

Analysis of the male five year age groups of the Southern District in 2021 compared to the City of Onkaparinga shows that there was a higher proportion of males in the younger age groups (under 15) and a lower proportion of males in the older age groups (65+).

Overall, 21.3% of the male population was aged between 0 and 15, and 17.6% were aged 65 years and over, compared with 19.0% and 18.6% respectively for the City of Onkaparinga.

The major differences between the male age structure of the Southern District and the City of Onkaparinga were:
