Aldinga Beach's employment statistics are an important indicator of socio-economic status. The levels of full or part-time employment, unemployment and labour force participation indicate the strength of the local economy and social characteristics of the population. Employment status is linked to a number of factors including Age Structure, which influences the number of people in the workforce; the economic base and employment opportunities available in the area and; the education and skill base of the population (Occupations, Industries, Qualifications).

Dominant groups
The size of Aldinga Beach's male labour force in 2021 was 2,478, of which 630 were employed part-time and 1,558 were full time workers.
Analysis of the male employment status (as a percentage of the labour force) in Aldinga Beach in 2021 compared to the Hills South District shows that there was a lower proportion in employment, and a higher proportion unemployed. Overall, 93.3% of the male labour force was employed, and 6.7% unemployed, compared with 95.2% and 4.8% respectively for the Hills South District.
Analysis of the labour force participation rate of the male population in Aldinga Beach in 2021 shows that there was a lower proportion in the labour force (61.9%) compared with the Hills South District (63.1%).
