Dominant groups

Analysis of the share of the male population attending educational institutions in the Northern District in 2021 compared to Coromandel East - Cherry Gardens - Chandlers Hill - Ironbank shows that there was a higher proportion attending primary school, a lower proportion attending secondary school, and a higher proportion engaged in tertiary level education.

Overall, 9.7% of the male population were attending primary school, 6.6% of the male population were attending secondary institutions, and 5.6% were learning at a tertiary level, compared with 8.9%, 8.1% and 5.0% respectively for Coromandel East - Cherry Gardens - Chandlers Hill - Ironbank.
