The Number of Bedrooms in a dwelling is an indicator of the size of dwellings, and when combined with Dwelling Type information, provides insight into the role Christies Beach plays in the housing market. Analysis of the number of bedrooms in dwellings in Christies Beach in 2021 compared to Onkaparinga Hills shows that there was a higher proportion of dwellings with 2 bedrooms or less, and a lower proportion of dwellings with 4 or more bedrooms.
Overall, 21.1% of households were in dwellings with 2 bedrooms or less, and 14.1% of 4 or more bedroom dwellings, compared with 2.0% and 60.4% for Onkaparinga Hills respectively.
The major differences between the number of bedrooms per dwelling of Christies Beach and Onkaparinga Hills were:
- A larger percentage of 3 bedroom dwellings (59.4% compared to 34.6%)
- A larger percentage of 2 bedroom dwellings (17.5% compared to 1.4%)
