Dominant groups

Analysis of the need for assistance of males in the City of Onkaparinga compared to Seaford Rise - Seaford Heights shows that there was a higher proportion of males who reported needing assistance with core activities.

Overall, 8.2% of the male population reported needing assistance with core activities, compared with 5.6% for Seaford Rise - Seaford Heights.

The major differences in the male age groups reporting a need for assistance in the Central North District and Seaford Rise - Seaford Heights were:

  • A larger percentage of males aged 80 to 84 (24.8% compared to 0.0%)
  • A larger percentage of males aged 75 to 79 (17.0% compared to 10.5%)
  • A larger percentage of males aged 0 to 4 (3.3% compared to 0.0%)
  • A larger percentage of males aged 20 to 59 (4.5% compared to 1.5%)
