Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by the population born in Philippines in Central Coast Council area in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:
- Professionals (405 people or 26.9%)
- Community and Personal Service Workers (272 people or 18.1%)
- Labourers (228 people or 15.1%)
In combination these three occupations accounted for 905 people in total or 60.1% of the employed population born in Philippines.
In comparison, Greater Sydney employed 29.5% in Professionals; 11.4% in Community and Personal Service Workers; and 10.5% in Labourers.
The major differences between the jobs held by the population born in Philippines in Central Coast Council area and Greater Sydney were:
- A larger percentage of people employed as Community and Personal Service Workers (18.1% compared to 11.4%)
- A larger percentage of people employed as Labourers (15.1% compared to 10.5%)
- A smaller percentage of people employed as Clerical and Administrative Workers (10.5% compared to 15.7%)
- A smaller percentage of people employed as Machinery Operators And Drivers (4.2% compared to 7.3%)
