Location and boundaries

Watanobbi is bounded by the locality of Warnervale in the north, the railway line in the east, Cutler Drive, Wyong Lookout and Casey Drive in the south, and the locality of Wyong in the west.

Settlement history

Settlement of the area dates from the late 1800s, although population was minimal until the 1970s. The population increased substantially during the early 1990s as a result of the Watanobbi new release area. Growth continued at a slower rate between 1996 and 2011 as new dwellings were added to the area.

Watanobbi is a residential area.

Major features of the area include Wyong Baseball Park, Watanobbi Oval, Brent Close Reserve, Coronet Park, Spotted Gum Reserve, Worthing Park, Wyong Hill Reserve, Watanobbi Community Centre and Wyong Public School.
