Hamlyn Terrace is bounded by Sparks Road in the north, the Pacific Highway in the east and south, and a line running continuous of Virginia Road and Virginia Road in the west.

Name origin

Hamlyn Terrace is named after Albert Hamlyn Warner, an early land holder in the area.

Settlement history

Settlement of the area dates from the 1890s, although population was minimal until the 1990s. Rapid growth took place from the early 1990s, with the population increasing more than ten-fold between 1991 and 2011, a result of large numbers of new dwellings being added to the area.

Hamlyn Terrace is a rapidly developing residential area.
