Analysis of the unpaid child care provided by the female population in Narara - Niagara Park in 2021 compared to Central Coast Council area shows that there was a higher proportion of females who provided unpaid child care either to their own or to other children. Overall, 33.2% of the female population provided unpaid child care, compared with 28.3% for Central Coast Council area.
The major differences between the share of the female population providing unpaid child care in Narara - Niagara Park and Central Coast Council area were:
- A larger percentage who provided unpaid childcare for own child/ren (25.6% compared to 21.2%)
- A smaller percentage who did not provide care for children (63.3% compared to 65.5%)
