Analysis of the unpaid child care provided by the female population in Northern Lakes, San Remo-Budgewoi and Toukley in 2021 compared to Central Coast Council area shows that there was a lower proportion of females who provided unpaid child care either to their own or to other children. Overall, 27.7% of the female population provided unpaid child care, compared with 28.3% for Central Coast Council area.
There were no major differences between Northern Lakes, San Remo-Budgewoi and Toukley and Central Coast Council area in 2021.

The number of females who provided unpaid child care for their own and/or other people's children in Northern Lakes, San Remo-Budgewoi and Toukley decreased by 638 between 2016 and 2021.
