The role of unpaid childcare in the Gorokan District is determined by many different factors. Dominant groups
Analysis of the unpaid child care provided by the female population in the Gorokan District in 2021 compared to Point Clare - Tascott - Koolewong - Woy Woy Bay shows that there was a lower proportion of females who provided unpaid child care either to their own or to other children. Overall, 25.5% of the female population provided unpaid child care, compared with 27.6% for Point Clare - Tascott - Koolewong - Woy Woy Bay.
The major differences between the share of the female population providing unpaid child care in the Gorokan District and Point Clare - Tascott - Koolewong - Woy Woy Bay were:
- A smaller percentage who provided unpaid childcare for own child/ren (19.0% compared to 21.0%)
- A smaller percentage who did not provide care for children (65.9% compared to 67.9%)

The number of females who provided unpaid child care for their own and/or other people's children in Gorokan District decreased by 323 between 2016 and 2021.
The largest changes in the number of females performing unpaid child care in the Gorokan District, between 2016 and 2021 were those who:
