Dominant groups

Analysis of the qualifications of the male population in the Southern Lakes District in 2021 compared to Central Coast Council area shows that there was a similar proportion of males holding formal qualifications (Bachelor or higher degree; Advanced Diploma or Diploma; or Vocational qualifications), as well as a similar proportion of males with no formal qualifications.

Overall, 54.4% of the male population aged 15 and over held educational qualifications, and 38.2% had no qualifications, compared with 54.2% and 37.8% respectively for Central Coast Council area.

The major differences between qualifications held by the male population of the Southern Lakes District and Central Coast Council area were:
