Analysis of the qualifications of the male population in the Peninsula District in 2021 compared to Mountains shows that there was a lower proportion of males holding formal qualifications (Bachelor or higher degree; Advanced Diploma or Diploma; or Vocational qualifications), and a higher proportion of males with no formal qualifications.
Overall, 51.3% of the male population aged 15 and over held educational qualifications, and 39.4% had no qualifications, compared with 52.4% and 35.2% respectively for Mountains.
The major differences between qualifications held by the male population of the Peninsula District and Mountains were:
- A larger percentage of males with No qualifications (39.4% compared to 35.2%)
- A smaller percentage of males with Bachelor or Higher degrees (14.5% compared to 15.6%)
