Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Gorokan in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:

  • Technicians and Trades Workers (440 males or 27.1%)
  • Labourers (299 males or 18.4%)
  • Machinery Operators And Drivers (268 males or 16.5%)

In combination these three occupations accounted for 1,007 males in total or 62.0% of the employed male resident population.

In comparison, Central Coast Council area employed 24.6% in Technicians and Trades Workers; 13.0% in Labourers; and 10.2% in Machinery Operators And Drivers.

The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of Gorokan and Central Coast Council area were:

  • A larger percentage of males employed as Machinery Operators And Drivers (16.5% compared to 10.2%)
