Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Mountains District in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:

  • Professionals (184 females or 21.4%)
  • Clerical and Administrative Workers (158 females or 18.4%)
  • Managers (143 females or 16.6%)

In combination these three occupations accounted for 485 females in total or 56.4% of the employed female resident population.

In comparison, Gosford West Ward employed 25.5% in Professionals; 20.9% in Clerical and Administrative Workers; and 11.0% in Managers.

The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of the Mountains District and Gosford West Ward were:

  • A larger percentage of females employed as Managers (16.6% compared to 11.0%)
  • A larger percentage of females employed as Labourers (9.4% compared to 6.3%)
  • A smaller percentage of females employed as Professionals (21.4% compared to 25.5%)
