Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Wyong, Warnervale and Gorokan in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:

  • Community and Personal Service Workers (2,629 females or 22.1%)
  • Clerical and Administrative Workers (2,405 females or 20.2%)
  • Professionals (2,340 females or 19.7%)

In combination these three occupations accounted for 7,374 females in total or 62.0% of the employed female resident population.

In comparison, Gosford West Ward employed 17.9% in Community and Personal Service Workers; 20.9% in Clerical and Administrative Workers; and 25.5% in Professionals.

The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of Wyong, Warnervale and Gorokan and Gosford West Ward were:
