An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Wyong Shire in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:
- Professionals (11,452 people or 16.1%)
- Technicians and Trades Workers (11,240 people or 15.8%)
- Community and Personal Service Workers (10,196 people or 14.3%)
In combination these three occupations accounted for 32,888 people in total or 46.1% of the employed resident population.
In comparison, the Wyong District employed 16.0% in Professionals; 14.4% in Technicians and Trades Workers; and 14.2% in Community and Personal Service Workers.
The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Wyong Shire and the Wyong District were:
- A larger percentage of persons employed as Technicians and Trades Workers (15.8% compared to 14.4%)
