Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Central Coast Council area in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:

  • Technicians and Trades Workers (18,726 males or 24.6%)
  • Professionals (12,406 males or 16.3%)
  • Managers (11,128 males or 14.6%)

In combination these three occupations accounted for 42,260 males in total or 55.5% of the employed male resident population.

In comparison, Ourimbah - Palmdale - Kangy Angy employed 22.0% in Technicians and Trades Workers; 18.8% in Professionals; and 16.8% in Managers.

The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of Central Coast Council area and Ourimbah - Palmdale - Kangy Angy were:

  • A larger percentage of males employed as Labourers (13.0% compared to 9.6%)
  • A larger percentage of males employed as Technicians and Trades Workers (24.6% compared to 22.0%)
