Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Northern Lakes District in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:
- Technicians and Trades Workers (1,199 people or 17.9%)
- Community and Personal Service Workers (954 people or 14.3%)
- Clerical and Administrative Workers (863 people or 12.9%)
In combination these three occupations accounted for 3,016 people in total or 45.1% of the employed resident population.
In comparison, Gosford - West Gosford employed 10.4% in Technicians and Trades Workers; 14.1% in Community and Personal Service Workers; and 12.3% in Clerical and Administrative Workers.
The major differences between the jobs held by the population of the Northern Lakes District and Gosford - West Gosford were:
- A larger percentage of persons employed as Technicians and Trades Workers (17.9% compared to 10.4%)
- A larger percentage of persons employed as Machinery Operators And Drivers (8.9% compared to 5.2%)
