Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Southern Lakes and The Entrance in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:

  • Professionals (2,797 females or 23.6%)
  • Clerical and Administrative Workers (2,483 females or 21.0%)
  • Community and Personal Service Workers (2,370 females or 20.0%)

In combination these three occupations accounted for 7,650 females in total or 64.6% of the employed female resident population.

In comparison, Greater Sydney employed 32.3% in Professionals; 20.6% in Clerical and Administrative Workers; and 13.3% in Community and Personal Service Workers.

The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of Southern Lakes and The Entrance and Greater Sydney were:
