Dominant groups
Analysis of the country of birth of the Spanish speaking population in Central Coast NSW in 2021 compared to Greater Sydney shows that there was a smaller proportion of people born overseas.
Overall, 67.8% of the Spanish speaking population was born overseas, compared with 73.9% for Greater Sydney.
The major differences between the countries of birth of the Spanish speaking population in Central Coast Council area and Greater Sydney were:
- A larger percentage of people born in Uruguay (12.7% compared to 6.6%)
- A smaller percentage of people born in Colombia (7.2% compared to 14.9%)
- A smaller percentage of people born in Peru (5.6% compared to 7.6%)
