Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Erina in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Construction (145 males or 18.4%)
  • Health Care and Social Assistance (77 males or 9.8%)
  • Retail Trade (72 males or 9.1%)

In combination, these three industries employed 294 males in total or 37.3% of the total employed male resident population.

In comparison, Central Coast Council area employed 19.9% in Construction; 7.5% in Health Care and Social Assistance; and 8.5% in Retail Trade.

The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of Erina and Central Coast Council area were:

  • A larger percentage of males employed in health care and social assistance (9.8% compared to 7.5%)
  • A larger percentage of males employed in administrative and support services (5.3% compared to 3.3%)
  • A smaller percentage of males employed in construction (18.4% compared to 19.9%)
  • A smaller percentage of males employed in transport, postal and warehousing (4.3% compared to 5.8%)
