Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Southern Lakes and The Entrance in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Construction (2,812 males or 23.5%)
  • Manufacturing (1,051 males or 8.8%)
  • Retail Trade (989 males or 8.2%)

In combination, these three industries employed 4,852 males in total or 40.5% of the total employed male resident population.

In comparison, Central Coast Council area employed 19.9% in Construction; 8.4% in Manufacturing; and 8.5% in Retail Trade.
