Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in The Entrance District in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Construction (1,356 males or 23.5%)
  • Retail Trade (492 males or 8.5%)
  • Manufacturing (440 males or 7.6%)

In combination, these three industries employed 2,288 males in total or 39.7% of the total employed male resident population.

In comparison, Central Coast Council area employed 19.9% in Construction; 8.5% in Retail Trade; and 8.4% in Manufacturing.

The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of the The Entrance District and Central Coast Council area were:

  • A larger percentage of males employed in construction (23.5% compared to 19.9%)
  • A larger percentage of males employed in education and training (5.8% compared to 4.4%)
