Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Woongarrah in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (430 people or 15.4%)
  • Retail Trade (333 people or 11.9%)
  • Construction (298 people or 10.7%)

In combination, these three industries employed 1,061 people in total or 37.9% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, Central Coast Council area employed 17.8% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 10.2% in Retail Trade; and 11.5% in Construction.

The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Woongarrah and Central Coast Council area were:
