Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Wyong District in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (935 females or 27.5%)
  • Retail Trade (433 females or 12.8%)
  • Education and Training (370 females or 10.9%)

In combination, these three industries employed 1,738 females in total or 51.2% of the total employed female resident population.

In comparison, Wyong, Warnervale and Gorokan employed 29.6% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 13.6% in Retail Trade; and 10.3% in Education and Training.

The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of the Wyong District and Wyong, Warnervale and Gorokan were:

  • A larger percentage of females employed in manufacturing (5.4% compared to 4.3%)
  • A smaller percentage of females employed in health care and social assistance (27.5% compared to 29.6%)
