Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Wyong District in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:
- Health Care and Social Assistance (935 females or 27.5%)
- Retail Trade (433 females or 12.8%)
- Education and Training (370 females or 10.9%)
In combination, these three industries employed 1,738 females in total or 51.2% of the total employed female resident population.
In comparison, Wyong, Warnervale and Gorokan employed 29.6% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 13.6% in Retail Trade; and 10.3% in Education and Training.
The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of the Wyong District and Wyong, Warnervale and Gorokan were:
- A larger percentage of females employed in manufacturing (5.4% compared to 4.3%)
- A smaller percentage of females employed in health care and social assistance (27.5% compared to 29.6%)
Emerging groups
The number of employed females in Wyong District increased by 236 between 2016 and 2021.
The largest changes in the jobs held by the female resident population between 2016 and 2021 in the Wyong District were for those employed in:
- Health Care and Social Assistance (+198 females)
- Retail Trade (-75 females)
- Education and Training (+60 females)
- Public Administration and Safety (+53 females)
