Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in East Brisbane Water and Coastal in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (5,596 people or 17.8%)
  • Construction (3,757 people or 11.9%)
  • Education and Training (3,235 people or 10.3%)

In combination, these three industries employed 12,588 people in total or 40.0% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, Woy Woy - Blackwall employed 17.7% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 10.2% in Construction; and 6.3% in Education and Training.

The major differences between the jobs held by the population of East Brisbane Water and Coastal and Woy Woy - Blackwall were:
