Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Central Coast Council area in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (21,068 females or 28.2%)
  • Education and Training (9,052 females or 12.1%)
  • Retail Trade (8,915 females or 11.9%)

In combination, these three industries employed 39,035 females in total or 52.3% of the total employed female resident population.

In comparison, Woy Woy - Blackwall employed 27.9% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 9.2% in Education and Training; and 12.3% in Retail Trade.

The major difference between the jobs held by the female population of Central Coast Council area and Woy Woy - Blackwall was:

  • A larger percentage of females employed in education and training (12.1% compared to 9.2%)
