Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Wadalba in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (306 females or 31.9%)
  • Retail Trade (129 females or 13.5%)
  • Education and Training (92 females or 9.6%)

In combination, these three industries employed 527 females in total or 55.0% of the total employed female resident population.

In comparison, Watanobbi employed 30.6% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 11.1% in Retail Trade; and 8.5% in Education and Training.

The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of Wadalba and Watanobbi were:

  • A larger percentage of females employed in retail trade (13.5% compared to 11.1%)
  • A larger percentage of females employed in health care and social assistance (31.9% compared to 30.6%)
  • A smaller percentage of females employed in professional, scientific and technical services (3.4% compared to 4.9%)
