Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Wadalba in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:
- Health Care and Social Assistance (306 females or 31.9%)
- Retail Trade (129 females or 13.5%)
- Education and Training (92 females or 9.6%)
In combination, these three industries employed 527 females in total or 55.0% of the total employed female resident population.
In comparison, Watanobbi employed 30.6% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 11.1% in Retail Trade; and 8.5% in Education and Training.
The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of Wadalba and Watanobbi were:
- A larger percentage of females employed in retail trade (13.5% compared to 11.1%)
- A larger percentage of females employed in health care and social assistance (31.9% compared to 30.6%)
- A smaller percentage of females employed in professional, scientific and technical services (3.4% compared to 4.9%)
- A smaller percentage of females employed in manufacturing (4.2% compared to 5.4%)
Emerging groups
The number of employed females in Wadalba increased by 370 between 2016 and 2021.
The largest change in the jobs held by the female resident population between 2016 and 2021 in Wadalba was for those employed in:
- Health Care and Social Assistance (+157 females)
