Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Wyong District in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (1,168 people or 16.7%)
  • Retail Trade (773 people or 11.0%)
  • Construction (723 people or 10.3%)

In combination, these three industries employed 2,664 people in total or 38.1% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, Australia employed 14.5% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 9.1% in Retail Trade; and 8.9% in Construction.

The major differences between the jobs held by the population of the Wyong District and Australia were:
