Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Northern Lakes District in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (949 females or 28.9%)
  • Retail Trade (505 females or 15.4%)
  • Education and Training (332 females or 10.1%)

In combination, these three industries employed 1,786 females in total or 54.4% of the total employed female resident population.

In comparison, Australia employed 23.3% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 10.6% in Retail Trade; and 13.2% in Education and Training.

The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of the Northern Lakes District and Australia were:
