Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in West Brisbane Water and Peninsula in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:
- Health Care and Social Assistance (3,648 people or 16.8%)
- Construction (2,306 people or 10.6%)
- Retail Trade (2,116 people or 9.7%)
In combination, these three industries employed 8,070 people in total or 37.1% of the total employed resident population.
In comparison, Umina Beach - Pearl Beach - Patonga employed 16.2% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 11.4% in Construction; and 9.4% in Retail Trade.
There were no major differences between West Brisbane Water and Peninsula and Umina Beach - Pearl Beach - Patonga in 2021.
