Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in West Brisbane Water and Peninsula in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (2,948 females or 27.2%)
  • Retail Trade (1,212 females or 11.2%)
  • Education and Training (1,192 females or 11.0%)

In combination, these three industries employed 5,352 females in total or 49.5% of the total employed female resident population.

In comparison, Tuggerawong - Tacoma - Rocky Point employed 23.8% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 13.9% in Retail Trade; and 13.7% in Education and Training.

The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of West Brisbane Water and Peninsula and Tuggerawong - Tacoma - Rocky Point were:

  • A larger percentage of females employed in health care and social assistance (27.2% compared to 23.8%)
