Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in West Brisbane Water and Peninsula in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (3,648 people or 16.8%)
  • Construction (2,306 people or 10.6%)
  • Retail Trade (2,116 people or 9.7%)

In combination, these three industries employed 8,070 people in total or 37.1% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, Tuggerawong - Tacoma - Rocky Point employed 14.4% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 14.1% in Construction; and 11.2% in Retail Trade.

The major differences between the jobs held by the population of West Brisbane Water and Peninsula and Tuggerawong - Tacoma - Rocky Point were:
