Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in East Brisbane Water and Coastal in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (4,236 females or 27.0%)
  • Education and Training (2,290 females or 14.6%)
  • Retail Trade (1,570 females or 10.0%)

In combination, these three industries employed 8,096 females in total or 51.6% of the total employed female resident population.

In comparison, Terrigal - North Avoca employed 26.1% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 14.7% in Education and Training; and 9.9% in Retail Trade.
