Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Gorokan District in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (1,219 females or 30.8%)
  • Retail Trade (559 females or 14.1%)
  • Education and Training (408 females or 10.3%)

In combination, these three industries employed 2,186 females in total or 55.3% of the total employed female resident population.

In comparison, Noraville - Norah Head employed 27.5% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 10.6% in Retail Trade; and 15.1% in Education and Training.

The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of the Gorokan District and Noraville - Norah Head were:

  • A larger percentage of females employed in retail trade (14.1% compared to 10.6%)
