Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Mountains District in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Construction (166 males or 16.7%)
  • Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing (152 males or 15.3%)
  • Manufacturing (79 males or 8.0%)

In combination, these three industries employed 397 males in total or 40.0% of the total employed male resident population.

In comparison, Mannering Park employed 26.0% in Construction; % in Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing; and 10.6% in Manufacturing.

The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of the Mountains District and Mannering Park were:

  • A larger percentage of males employed in agriculture, forestry and fishing (15.3% compared to 0.0%)
  • A larger percentage of males employed in professional, scientific and technical services (6.5% compared to 1.3%)
  • A smaller percentage of males employed in construction (16.7% compared to 26.0%)
  • A smaller percentage of males employed in public administration and safety (2.9% compared to 6.8%)
