Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Toukley District in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Construction (463 males or 24.7%)
  • Retail Trade (164 males or 8.7%)
  • Manufacturing (162 males or 8.6%)

In combination, these three industries employed 789 males in total or 42.1% of the total employed male resident population.

In comparison, Gwandalan - Summerland Point employed 26.5% in Construction; 7.9% in Retail Trade; and 10.8% in Manufacturing.

The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of the Toukley District and Gwandalan - Summerland Point were:

  • A larger percentage of males employed in accommodation and food services (6.9% compared to 4.0%)
