Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Peninsula District in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (2,470 people or 16.8%)
  • Construction (1,610 people or 10.9%)
  • Retail Trade (1,399 people or 9.5%)

In combination, these three industries employed 5,479 people in total or 37.2% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, Berkeley Vale - Chittaway Bay - Glenning Valley employed 16.3% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 13.1% in Construction; and 10.3% in Retail Trade.

The major differences between the jobs held by the population of the Peninsula District and Berkeley Vale - Chittaway Bay - Glenning Valley were:
