Dominant groups

Analysis of female individual income levels in the Valleys District in 2021 compared to Budgewoi Ward shows that there was a higher proportion of females earning a high income (those earning $2,000 per week or more) and a lower proportion of low income females (those earning less than $500 per week).

Overall, 10.0% of the female population earned a high income, and 37.3% earned a low income, compared with 3.5% and 40.8% respectively for Budgewoi Ward.

The major differences between the Valleys District's female individual incomes and Budgewoi Ward's female individual incomes were:

  • A larger percentage of females who earned $2,000 - $2,999 (6.1% compared to 2.7%)
  • A smaller percentage of females who earned $300 - $399 (7.2% compared to 11.4%)
  • A smaller percentage of females who earned $400 - $499 (8.9% compared to 12.2%)
  • A smaller percentage of females who earned $500 - $649 (8.5% compared to 11.6%)
