Analysis of the household/family types in the East Brisbane Water District in 2021 compared to Wyong Shire shows that there was a higher proportion of couple families with child(ren) as well as a lower proportion of one-parent families. Overall, 29.3% of total families were couple families with child(ren), and 9.8% were one-parent families, compared with 26.5% and 14.3% respectively for Wyong Shire.
There were a similar proportion of lone person households and a higher proportion of couples without children. Overall, the proportion of lone person households was 25.5% compared to 25.4% in Wyong Shire while the proportion of couples without children was 29.2% compared to 25.2% in Wyong Shire.
